Design/Make - the physical practice of making art
Set in the intimate atmosphere of Wimbledon College of Art's Foundation
workshops, students will be encouraged to experience the creative energy of
design & make.
Through the practical experience of investigating a range of processes,
materials and skills in the wood, metal and ceramic workshops, you will gain a
strong understanding of the types of creative production methods currently used
in contemporary art and design practice. Project work, studio sessions, and
group critiques will allow you to apply that knowledge where it counts; in
discovering and expressing your own ideas and creative abilities.
Students will have an opportunity to experience working with a range of
materials including clay, metal and wood, and to create a range of 3 dimensional
objects to express their creative ideas.
The course will be taught by experienced practitioners who usually work with
the full time students.
